Farewell, Detroit Sunday Journal!

After six years of publishing the news, the Detroit Sunday Journal is closing its doors. Founded in 1995 by striking workers from The Detroit News and The Detroit Free Press, the Detroit Sunday Journal provided a strong voice for labor unions and focused on covering local news and labor issues.

Over its 200-plus editions, the Detroit Sunday Journal reached a circulation of 40,000 to 60,000 readers. We at DSJ are sad to see this champion of local news and worker’s rights go. The Detroit Sunday Journal will be remembered for its commitment to its community and its unwavering support for workers’ rights.
